The Smart Shoppers started out as a side project apart from our other bands that was just for fun. Over the first two years (2016-18) we wrote and recorded the first demos of these songs with no real plan of doing much beyond making a couple quick videos and posting them online. After a bit of time passed we all agreed that we REALLY liked the songs and decided to put out this record. Shortly after we wrote a few more songs and decided to maybe play a short set for my upcoming birthday party IF ONLY we could find a bass player to learn the songs as Aaron had played all the bass and guitar parts on this record, I mentioned this dilemma to my friend and neighbor Rev. Norb Rozek while asking him to male the flyer for said birthday party show and he agreed to learn the songs and fill in. We got together and wrote a few new songs in the few weeks before Norb came to practice for the first time and I guess he liked the new songs too bc they didn't have basslines yet, and he agreed to write the basslines to the new songs and be on the next record. So, now I guess one COULD say we are a real band? We don't plan to play out a whole lot, we only practice every other Saturday bc we all have TONS of crap going on, it just kind of became too fun of a project to not make into a real band...so yeah....we hope you like this stuff as much as we have fun making it?!
